Angela Worthy

I am a mom, wife and massage therapist. I was born and raised here in Anchorage and despite the cold winter months, I can’t imagine not calling Alaska home. When I’m not massaging, you can find me spending time with my family, shuttling my kids to and from their activities, planning tropical and/or Disney vacations, or curled up by the fire relaxing.

While working full-time in my previous career, I attended the evening Therapeutic Massage Program at Alaska Career College and graduated valedictorian in October 2023. One evening, Kristen came in to speak to our class about her experiences with barefoot massage and business ownership. Shortly after, I booked a barefoot massage and Thai massage and I was hooked! I attended barefoot massage training in November 2023 and Traditional Thai massage training in Phuket, Thailand in January 2024. Throughout school I found a passion for hands on therapeutic massage and how specifically you can work to help those nagging muscular problems.

I’m excited to utilize these various styles to treat my clients from one session to the next. Together we can work specific or broad to release tension and adhesion in the muscles, as well as working on flexibility and range of motion to keep the body moving and feeling its best.

Angela's Barefoot Massage

During your Barefoot massage session with Angela, she will use her feet. With approximately 100,00-200,000 nerve endings Angela will use these nerve endings to palpate bony landmarks and soft tissue, she is particularly adept at finding those tight and painful areas. Although pressure can be adjusted, this is great for the deep tissue massage lover, such as athletes or people of larger stature with healthy bones.

Angela's Thai Floor Massage

While in your Thai Floor massage with Angela be sure to wear loose comfortable attire. The massage is performed on a floor mat. Angela employs her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move clients into a series of yoga-like stretches while, at the same time, applying deep muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure.  Stretching, pulling, and rocking techniques relieve tension and enhance flexibility and range of motion. Angela guides you through stretches giving light instruction to breathe or relax to help deepen stretches and assist in range of motion movement.’
